Projects - Videos
I studied animation at Hampshire College, thinking this would be my life path. It felt like a great combination of art and engineering, and I liked it! I brought to life many images in my head and enjoyed learning all of the technical aspects of animation. The summer before my senior year at Hampshire, I had an internship at Hasbro Inc. Cake Mix Studios, where Hasbro makes its commercials and in-house videos. I loved working with others and making characters come to life! After I graduated from Hampshire, I got a job as a 3D Technologist at Whalerock Industries, where I had the honor of working with incredible colleagues and clients. I loved working in animation because of the creativity and collaboration with others, but I moved on after recognizing that I might love other things too, and there is so much more to learn.
Stuck
As an assignment in my Pixelbending class at Hampshire College, I made a video of my friend Sarah stuck in a snow globe. I made this video to show my skills and to visualize how stuck I felt in Hampshire.
Tyler the Creator AR Popup Shop
Tyler the Creator was a client of mine at Whalerock Industries. He wanted to create an AR virtual pop-up shop. The idea was that a customer could shop and purchase some of his clothing in augmented reality. The video is a screen recording on an iPad as I played with the prototype. The project was enjoyable to conceptualize!
Digipuppies
Digipuppies is a prototype of an AR experience from Whalerock Industries where a user can adopt a virtual dog. The user can walk, feed, and tell the dog to do tricks. The project's future was to incorporate blockchain in a fun and futuristic way.
Risk Commercial
During my internship at Hasbro Inc, I worked on this commercial for the board game Risk. I built all of the explosions and various animations. I worked with a partner to put together all of the elements of the animated scenes.
Tyler the Creator AR Game
I created another AR experience for Tyler the Creator at Whalerock Industries. In this game, Tyler sits in a chair and shoots his slingshot while the user knocks him down with a soccer ball. It is another example of the eccentric experiences that I created at Whalerock.
Pencil
I made the "Pencil" game during my first year at Hampshire College. As you draw with the pencil, it gets shorter and shorter until it disappears, and the game ends. This game is frustrating because it ends too quickly to draw something and is virtually meaningless. There is no way to win; everyone loses.
Ballet Decay
As my project for an advanced animation class at Hampshire College, I created an animation of a ballerina descending into psychosis. Ballerinas represent balance and beauty, so watching her enter psychosis in animated form is meaningful.
